Qualifications:
- Responsible for ordering, receiving, inventory, organizing and selling wine.
- Oversee all wine purchases and cost management.
- Assist guests during dinner service with wine recommendations and selection for pairing with their dinner, decanting of the wine and wine service.
- Develop a training program for all team members to improve their knowledge of wine tasting and wine service.
- A strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
- Solid understanding of pricing, budgets and cost controls.
- Operation and programming knowledge of a point of sales system.
- Highly proficient in written and spoken English.
- Minimum of 6 years of sales and/or marketing experience in the food beverage or hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
To assist Chief Sommelier in the smooth and efficient operation of the assigned outlet.
Operate the outlet under the direction from the Chief Sommelier as per the standards and procedures and practice managerial principles, in order to achieve departmental goals, in terms of Guest Satisfaction, financial targets, and training and high employee morale.
