About Start
Start offers its services as a commercial enterprise for over 35 years in European and international labour markets. Start, Originating in the Netherlands is currently the second largest company offering services in the country and the fifth biggest in Europe.
In order to maintain its prominent international position in the personnel sector, a number of principle steps have been taken mainly the modernisation of its IT platforms aimed at further expansion. Start presently uses HRMone, an up-to-date information and database system in personnel services ( working on CLOUD computing following today’s trends and developed in-house). The implementation of this system has proven to be a suitable investment for the future.
Start decided to offer its services also abroad. This strategic move has been so successful, that today it functions in most Western European countries as well as in Central and Eastern Europe (Czech and Slovak Republics, Hungary, Poland and Russia).
Start Thailand has been founded by Start Czech Republic in 2004.
In 1992 Agentura Start was founded as a project between the Czech and the Dutch Ministries of Labour and Social Affairs and the Dutch company “Uitzendbureau Start”.
In 1998, Start Holding B.V., with its official seat in Dutch Gouda founded StartCZ s.r.o. in the Czech Republic. With this move they gained another very important part of the European market.
Start in Thailand
Start has ventured into European expansion by opening representations in the Slovak Republic further on Poland, Hungary and Russia. Start Thailand is considered unique in the company’s history since it is the first venture into Asia and Bangkok is the scene of the first expansion where an office has been opened in September 2004.
Start‘s decision to choose Thailand as its first representation and main base of expansion in South East Asia was mainly based on the company’s social identity. We are truly hopeful to be socially active in the Thai Labour market and assist the development of the working environment through our numerous programs that proved more than useful in developing markets. Since the company’s establishment in the country, Start managed through it’s know how and expertise to assist many clients (Local and multinational) in a multitude of positions in various sectors.
Social tradition and identity
It is the very structure and history of the Dutch Start, which was initiated by the social partners and the government, in the so called tri-partie system, which proves to be of special advantage especially in countries where the employment industry faces negative attitudes regarding temporary employment. It is the mission of Start to be a socially orientated employment mediator, in which the tri-partite structure and interest in special target- groups forms the basis of the company’s long respected culture.

We are especially proud of our activities that are aimed at the interests of special target groups in society, such as the elderly, handicapped or parts of society that are discriminated against is a clear proof of Start‘s strong social tradition.
